Puya Tabiyaniyan begins his sentence

Puya Tabiyaniyan ( پویتبیانیانا ) reported to Semnan prison on December 22, to begin serving his sentence of six years and six months imprisonment. He is charged with acting against national security and propaganda against the regime. He was one of a number of Bahais arrested in Semnan in February 2011, and was freed on bail after 23 days in prison. He has been imprisoned for his faith previously. In the winter of 2008-9 he was arrested, and sentenced to two years in prison. He was released after serving 14 months in prison. He joins five other Bahais who are serving prison sentences in Semnan’s central prison.
