At 2.15 on December 14, security forces raided a home in Karaj where 20 Bahais were gathered, and arrested them all. When two of those present asked to see the search warrant, they were beaten up. Security officers filmed the whole proceeding, for the time of their arrival until the prisoners were taken away. At the detention centre, one of the ladies was beaten in the interrogation room, and she was then denied medical attention although her physical condition was bad. Following the interrogations, security forces raided the home of the one of the detainees and seized personal effects such as a lap top, books, gold and cash. All but five of the detainees were released in the middle of the night. Two more were released on December 17. There is no information about the conditions of the three Bahais who are still detained.
