Health concerns for Hoshang Fana’ayan in prison

PCED, October 1

Hoshang Fana’ayan ( هوشنگ فنائیان ), a 49-year old Bahai imprisoned in Babol, is in poor health. Earlier this year he suffered from kidney stones, and for the past 8 months he has suffered from pains in his neck and arm, and the doctor has said that the vertebrae of his neck and the muscles of his arm are out of place. However prison officials have not allowed him leave for medical treatment. Hoshang Fana’ayan is a resident of Amol who was arrested on March 14, and is serving a 4-year sentence on charges of acting against national security, membership of the Bahai community and of Facebook, and writing letters to Iran’s Supreme Leader.
