One arrest in Tehran province

PCED, August 27

Peyman Hejabian ( پیمان حجابیان ) was arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence, acting without a warrant, on August 26. The report does not indicate where the arrest occurred, but the fact that his family have enquired as to his whereabouts — without success — at Raja’i Shahr prison indicates that he was arrested in or near Tehran. He was beaten and threatened during his arrest, and the security agents insulted his religion and seized all his books, a computer and a laptop. He has been charged with “acting against national security” and “propaganda against the regime.” His whereabouts are unknown.
