Six Bahai prisoners held in section 350 of Tehran’s Evin prison have been transferred without warning to the quarantine section of Raja’i Shahr prison in Karaj, just west of Tehran, where twelve other Bahai prisoners (most of the Yaran, and a number of BIHE teachers) are also being held. Five prisoners were transferred this morning, August 5. Their names are Didar Ra’ufi (دیدار رئوفی ), serving 3 years; Foad Khanjani (فواد خانجانی), serving 4 years; Shahrukh Ta’if (شاهرخ طائف ), serving 4 years; Payman Kashfi (پیمان کشفی), serving 4 years; and Afshin Hirtiyan (افشین حیرتیان), serving 4 years. Azizullah Samandari ( عزیزالله سمندری ) was transferred from Evin to Raja’i Shahr a few days earlier. There are now 18 Bahais imprisoned at Raja’i Shahr.
